Charles D. Woodward is the director of choral activities at Brandon Middle School.  He teaches 6th grade general music, directs the 7th and 8th grade Concert Choir, and directs the Show Choir, BRIO.      
Mr. Woodward is a Graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi where he received a Bachelors and a Masters Degree in Music Education with an emphasis in Choral/Vocal.  Mr. Woodward has participated in numerous performing groups and musicals. He is also a percussionist for the First Baptist Church of Brandon.  In addition, Mr. Woodward is a music arranger and a screenplay writer.  Mr. Woodward has a desire to see BRIO become an essential part of the culture of Brandon, an organization that the city can be proud to claim. 


Lauren A. Woodward is director of music at Brandon Elementary.  She teaches music to all fourth and fifth grade classes.  Mrs. Woodward is in her fifth year as co-director of Brandon Middle School’s Show Choir, BRIO, alongside her husband, Charlie Woodward, who is also in his fifth year as director of BRIO. 


Mrs. Woodward is a two time graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi.  She holds a Bachelors of Music Education with a choral/vocal emphasis and a Masters of Music Education with an emphasis in voice and conducting.  Some of her solo experiences include being a two time soloist in Carnegie Hall (NY), soloist for former President George W. Bush, opening solo act for Christian recording artist Ginny Owens and back-up singer at a Tribute to Tena Clark Concert for recording artists such as Patti LaBelle, Dion Warwick and many more.  She has been cast as the leading role in many musicals and a member of several performing groups around the state.  Singing and performing is a passion that she hopes to pass on to her students.
